After leading an hour and a half Kirtan chant, Raoul Diaz De la Garza sets out cookies and tea for everyone who showed up. Kirtan is form of chanting that involves Hindu mantra’s as well instruments, and meditation.

I went to the Ian Ruhter Photography show, put on in his living room?! If you don’t know these guys, they are the ones who did the ‘Silver and Light’ vimeo hit.. The ones who turned an ice cream truck into a pin hole camera. Wet plate collodion ring a bell? Well Ian and his crew, are traveling North America, meeting, and listening to people, and taking there portraits. Listen to Ian talk, the guy speaks heavy with emotion. Great to meet you, Lane, Willy, Madeline, and Ian!
